"Black Cow?" I'd say more like "Fat Cow." Oh sure, the atmosphere seemed nice enough. The wait staff, at least our's, was great. I dare say the selection of beer, albeit a bit too pricey, was great as well. As a matter of fact, if I make an extra $20,000.00 next year. I may stop in for a couple of pint's. The food however. It just proves a point of view I've always' had. People with expensive taste, don't necessarily have good taste. Being a carnivore, I ordered what they call a Sirloin Strip. I'm convinced the owner picks the meat up at Shaw's on the way into work, most likely from the "Managers Special" case. You can certainly get a better cut of meat from TGI Friday's. Of course then you wouldn't be paying too much for your meal, so people with expensive taste won't be found there. My wife had Lobster Fettucini. Like an extra dry martini, I belive they simply wave the lobster over the dish after they microwave it. I won't even get into what they do to destroy the naturally good flavor of the food. Even a cheap piece of steak had barley recognizable taste. My recommendation; Go to Kappy's and pick out your favorite spirits. Then stop into Roche Brothers, get a $25.00 Porter House. Split that with your spouse, you'll be much better off.

Food prices are indeed high here, but there is a great selection of fine beer, and the place has a wonderful atmosphere.

Our salad had brown rust. The steak had grissle. The wine was less than jug wine, and tasted worse. At seven dollars a glass, the jug would have been better. We have notice in the last year the quality of this once favorite place go down hill.

Hello- my husband and I visited your rest.last weekend for only the second time. We live in Groton, MA. and it's a little ways to your place. Again, we were pleasantly surprised how delicious the food was. Thank you! Also, we would like to give extra praise to our waitress Olivia. She was just wonderful! We'll see you very soon!

I love the atmosphere here...the bar is always hoppin'...people from different walks of life and all ages. Sure- it ain't the diverse cafe in San Francisco- but the service is friendly and I always have fun.
